Toronto Symphony Orchestra Jonathan Crow is in his ninth season as Concertmaster of the Toronto Symphony Orchestra. He is also an Associate Professor of violin at the University of Toronto Faculty of Music. Between 2002 and 2006, Jonathan was the Concertmaster of the Montreal Symphony Orchestra; during this time, he was the youngest Concertmaster of any major North American orchestra. In 2016 Jonathan was named Artistic Director of Toronto Summer Music. Jonathan continues to perform as guest concertmaster with orchestras around the world, including the National Arts Centre Orchestra, Pittsburgh Symphony, Mahler Chamber Orchestra, Filarmonia de Lanaudiere and Pernambuco Festival Orchestra (Brazil). Jonathan has also performed as a soloist with most major Canadian orchestras including the Montreal, Toronto and Vancouver Symphony Orchestras, the National Arts Centre and Calgary Philharmonic Orchestras, the Victoria, Nova Scotia and Kingston Symphonies, and Orchestra London, under the baton of such conductors as Charles Dutoit, Sir Yehudi Menuhin, Sir Andrew Davis, Peter Oundjian, Kent Nagano, Mario Bernardi and João Carlos Martins. Jonathan joined the Schulich School of Music at McGill University as an Assistant Professor of Violin and was appointed Associate Professor of Violin in 2010. An avid chamber musician, he has performed at chamber music festivals throughout North America, South America and Europe including the Banff, Ravinia, Orford, Domaine Forget, Seattle, Montreal, Ottawa, Incontri in Terra di Sienna, Alpenglow, Festival Vancouver, Pernambuco (Brazil), Giverny (France) and Strings in the Mountains festivals. He is a founding member of the Juno Award-winning New Orford String Quartet, a project-based new ensemble dedicated to the promotion of standard and Canadian string quartet repertoire throughout North America. As an advocate of contemporary music, he has premiered works by illustrious Canadian composers. Jonathan's impressive resume is equaled only by his extraordinary kindness, compassion and a genuine desire to give of himself for the benefit of others.

Chef Didier Leroy is known for serving Classic French Cuisine and is recognized by some of the world's best and most influential chefs for maintaining the art of French cooking and technique. Chef Didier received the Medal of the Chevalier de l'Ordre du Maître Agricole (Knight of Order of Agricultural Merit) in 2009, and has been inducted into the Master Chef Association of France (Maîtres Cuisiniers de France) in 2010. He was nominated for this honoured membership by the "Ambassador of French Cuisine" Chef Paul Bocuse and award-winning French Chef Roland Passot. He is one of 550 French Masterchefs worldwide.

Toronto Symphony Orchestra Camille Watts has been a flutist and solo piccoloist of the Toronto Symphony Orchestra since 1990, positions she held previously with the Atlanta and Denver Symphonies. She has also performed with Atlanta Opera, Opera Colorado and as principal flute with Central City Opera. Camille attended the Cincinnati College-Conservatory of Music as a National Merit Scholar, in the studio of Kyril Magg, graduating summa cum laude with honours. At 21, she became the youngest player in the Atlanta Symphony Orchestra under Robert Shaw, touring, recording, and performing as a soloist. She continued her studies with Keith Underwood, Robert Dick, Jack Wellbaum and Walfrid Kujala. Camille has played with the Canadian Opera Company, onstage with Soulpepper Theatre, and in the pit with Miss Saigon playing western and Chinese flutes. She has performed on many pop and classical recordings, as well as on film and TV soundtracks. Camille teaches flute and coaches chamber music at the Faculty of Music, and is an Associate Member of the Graduate Faculty. She has also served as piccolo faculty at the National Youth Orchestra of Canada. Camille teaches with great joy.

Randi Berman Studio Randi Berman is a visual artist and teaching art has been her passion for the past 20 years. She is a Middle School art teacher and the Arts Coordinator at St. Andrew's College. She loves inspiring young artists and exposing them to different art forms and mediums including painting, ceramics, and printmaking. She is a graduate of OCAD university and continues to take art classes to stay connected and involved in the art community.

University of Toronto Faculty Of Music Jazz trumpeter and Yamaha Artist Chase Sanborn is a veteran session musician and a mainstay of the (pre-pandemic) bustling music scene in Toronto. Chase has toured and/or performed with Ray Charles, Aretha Franklin, Diana Krall and many other jazz and pop artists, and released five CDs as a leader. A dedicated music educator, Chase Sanborn is an Associate Professor in Jazz Studies at the University of Toronto. Chef Neil restauranteur extraordinaire was the founder and co-owner of the highly acclaimed Cafe Nervosa and sole owner of the acclaimed Pallucci Restaurant. Neil was the featured Chef on the acclaimed TV show ‘Beer Buddies.’ Neil founded and was the Mt Pleasant Business Improvement Area Chairman, creating community programs, street improvement initiatives, and annual festivals, bringing awareness to Mount Pleasant Village and his fellow business owners. He was also the Director of Culinary at ‘The Butler Did It’ and has worked with many of Toronto's premier event venues and Toronto's top caterers. Chef Siomra is inspired by Italian cuisine and has taught and shared his passion and love of food by giving live cooking classes and live demonstrations.

Sean-William Dawson Studio Sean-William has been an exhibiting artist and art educator for more than 20 years working with such institutions as MacLaren Arts Centre (Barrie, ON), the City of Barrie Parks and Recreation Department, and King's College (Caledon, ON). He has also successfully run his own artist in the class business “Arts for Art's Sake” for 15 years, where he on average reaches 3,000 students per school year within Simcoe County.

Toronto Symphony Orchestra Mark is presently in his fourteenth season as Associate Concertmaster of the Toronto Symphony Orchestra. He is currently on staff at the Faculty of Music, University of Toronto. He is a native of Odessa, Ukraine. Upon completing his music education in the State Conservatory of Odessa, he was awarded a degree with honours. At age fifteen he won first prize in the Ukrainian competition for Young Talents and subsequently performed as soloist with the Odessa State Philharmonic. In 1979 he emigrated to Canada and was immediately appointed Assistant Concertmaster with the Kitchener-Waterloo Symphony Orchestra and Stratford’s Chamber Ensemble. One year later he joined the TSO. Mark is a prominent chamber musician and is heard frequently both on CBC radio and in recital halls throughout the nation. His most recent engagements have included performances in Italy, in recital and as soloist with the Orchestra Sinfonica della Provinci di Bari. Mark is a very seasoned instructor.

Toronto Symphony Orchestra Winona Zelenka is the Assistant Principal Cellist of the Toronto Symphony Orchestra, and she is one of Canada’s finest cellists on the scene today. As a soloist, she has performed concerti with the Toronto Symphony Orchestra, Mississauga Symphony Orchestra, and Toronto Philharmonia Orchestra, among many others. As a member of the Toronto Symphony Orchestra since 2001, Winona was Acting Principal Cellist for five seasons starting from 2004/2005. She is a dedicated recitalist and chamber musician, as well as a proponent of new music, having performed several world premières of works written for her by Canadian composers. In 2006, she formed Trio Arkel with violinist Marie Berard and violist Teng Li, and since 2013 they have been presenting a chamber music series at Trinity St. Paul’s Centre in Toronto. In 2008, Ms. Zelenka performed as guest Principal Cellist for the Canadian Opera Company’s production of Tosca. She also served as Principal Cellist of the Santa Fe Opera Orchestra during the summers of 2007 and 2008, and was guest Principal Cellist for the National Arts Centre Orchestra in Ottawa for the season of 2013/14. Pam Pritchard Studio Pam holds a Bachelors of Arts from York University. She has been practicing Visual Arts for thirty years and sharing her knowledge with students for twenty five. Currently Pam teaches at St. Andrew’s College, Southdown Institute and Pine Tree Potters’ Guild. Trained in clay, she primarily focuses on structure. Pam’s excitement to explore different materials leads me to 3D Art and Sculpture. Pam is excited to share the joy of exploration and creation.

University of Toronto Faculty of Music Mr. Daboll serves on the Voice Faculty at the University of Toronto, teaching applied voice, and as a guest lecturer on topics in graduate-level voice pedagogy. His students have won or placed in national competitions, and have been accepted into numerous professional development programs.Mark served as a vocal coach and master class teacher for the 2016 Ontario Youth Choir, and at the COC’s Summer Youth Intensive Program in 2013 and 2014. In demand as a personal and engaging adjudicator at music festivals, Mark continues his association with the COC as a popular workshop presenter for the Living Opera Education Program, for both high school groups and Toronto District School Board teachers. Originally classically trained, Mark is also uniquely certified to teach all vocal styles, including golden-age and contemporary Music Theatre, Broadway belting, Pop-Rock styles, Country, R&B, and Jazz. He is a teacher with immediate solutions to reaffirm individual, authentic vocal identity, and maximize vocal and artistic capability at the highest level of performance. As a performer, Mr. Daboll sang at the Canadian Opera Company from 2000-2010 in numerous productions as a member of the company chorus, having also performed for several seasons at the Festival of Two Worlds (Spoleto Italy), Spoleto Festival USA (Charleston, South Carolina), Edinburgh Festival (with the COC), L’Opéra de Montréal, and in Merzig, Germany, with the Saar Music & Theatre Festival. He remains an active oratorio and concert soloist.

Toronto Symphony Orchestra Eric Abramovitz is the Associate Principal and E-flat Clarinet in the Toronto Symphony Orchestra. He was previously a member of the Nashville Symphony Orchestra. Eric was named the Vandoren Emerging Artist of the year in 2017, and a CBC Next! Artist in 2013. A first-prize winner at the OSM Standard Life Competition in 2011, Eric has been featured as a soloist with numerous orchestras, including the McGill and USC Symphonies, l’Orchestre symphonique de Québec, and the National Arts Centre Orchestra. Eric was a Sylva Gelber Career Grant recipient in 2016, and toured throughout Japan with the New York Symphonic Ensemble. Eric is an adventurous, fun and meticulous instructor.

Chef Stephane Carrier was classically trained for four years in several One, Two and Three Start Michelin Restaurants throughout France. These restaurants include: Buerehiesel, 3-Stars; Bastide de Capelongue, 2-Stars; La Feniere, 1-Star and Hotel Les Pyrenees, 1-Star. Although Stephane’s speciality is Classic French Cuisine, with thirty years of cooking experience Stephane’s culinary knowledge and technical skills have expanded to include many international flavours such as Italian, Indian, Asian and European. Stephane had the honour of working with the late Claude Bouillet. He also has a background in physics and biochemistry from Laurentian University.

Toronto Symphony Orchestra Theresa joined the Toronto Symphony Orchestra as Assistant Principal Viola in 2011 and has been a member of the Santa Fe Opera Orchestra since 2018. Theresa is currently on the faculty of the University of Toronto and is the Viola Coach of the Toronto Symphony Youth Orchestra. She is also an active chamber musician, recitalist, and orchestral player. Theresa began her orchestral career as the youngest member of the Detroit Symphony Orchestra at the age of 21. She has also held positions with the National Ballet of Canada Orchestra and the Canadian Opera Company Orchestra, and has performed with the Vancouver Symphony Orchestra and the Cleveland Orchestra. Theresa has performed in festivals throughout North America, including the Vancouver Chamber Music Festival, the Great Lakes Chamber Music Festival, Ottawa Chamberfest, and the Santa Fe Chamber Music Festival. She has also been featured several times on CBC Radio Canada. Theresa performs regularly as a member of the TSO Chamber Soloists, and has appeared as guest violinist with Trio Arkel and the LARK Ensemble.

University of Toronto Faculty of Music Peter teaches clarinet, chamber music, performance studies and The Business of Music at the Faculty of Music, University of Toronto. He is also a member of the Royal Conservatory of Music's National College of Examiners and is much sought after as an adjudicator at music festivals across the country. In 2014 Peter served as the chief compiler of the new Clarinet Syllabus for RCM Examinations. He continues to serve as the Winds Area Specialist for RCME. He was Principal Clarinetist of the former Toronto Philharmonia for ten years. Peter has continued to perform with many regional ensembles, including the Hamilton Philharmonic, Kitchener-Waterloo Symphony, Niagara Symphony, Toronto Operetta Theatre, Toronto Masque Theatre, Opera York, Tapestry Opera, and the Talisker Players. In 2019 he won a Dora Mavor Moore Award as part of Best Ensemble-Opera, with Against the Grain Opera Theatre. Known for his virtuoso energy on stage, creative musical arrangements and an entertaining way of speaking with the audience, Peter Stoll is one of Canada’s most innovative and versatile clarinetists. He was a prizewinner in the International Clarinet Society Competition, and also Solo Clarinetist with the World Orchestra of Jeunesses Musicales in Berlin and Vienna, which was broadcast on live television across Europe. Peter won First Prize in Chamber Music at the National Competitive Music Festival, for whose 50th Anniversary edition he was invited back as Woodwind Adjudicator, and as soloist in the Gala Celebration Concert in Winnipeg. Peter has been a guest soloist with orchestras in Canada and the United States, and was invited to Russia for solo performances with the Saratov Philharmonic's “Volga Wind Ensemble” and to present masterclasses at the State Conservatory. International performances have also been included twice at the ADeVantGarde Festival in Munich, Germany, and Finland, Great Britain, Holland and Belgium. In October 2013, he was flown to Japan to take part in the Yamaha Music Foundation’s, "Junior Original Concert” at Bunkamura Hall in Tokyo. In October of 2014, Peter travelled to three cities in China on a new music exchange with conservatories organized by the University of Toronto.

Toronto Symphony Orchestra Internationally acclaimed cellist Igor Gefter joined the Toronto Symphony Orchestra in 2006. During the summers, he also serves as Principal Cellist of the Grand Teton Music Festival and is a member of the Chautauqua Symphony Orchestra. Prior to his move to Toronto, Igor held the position of Associate Principal Cello with the Fort Worth Symphony Orchestra. While still a student at The Juilliard School in New York, Igor was invited to play with the cello section of the New York Philharmonic, where he served as an acting member and an extra cellist, this special relationship lasted for over eight years. Highly regarded for his expertise as an orchestral player, Igor has been invited to perform with the Boston, Chicago, and Detroit Symphony Orchestras. In 2009 Igor was invited by the Seattle Symphony to serve as Guest Principal Cellist in the opening week of the 2009/10 season. Igor's numerous honours include multiple Chalmers Performing Arts Awards from the Ontario Arts Council, as well as four consecutive B-Grants from the Canada Council for the Arts to study abroad. In 1997 he was a recipient of the John B.C. Watkins Fellowship from the Canada Council. In 1991 Mr. Gefter won first prize in the Canadian Music Competition, which resulted in numerous recitals throughout Canada. While studying in New York, he won the Mannes Concerto Competition and performed as a soloist at Lincoln Center's Alice Tully Hall. An active participant in international music festivals, Igor has served as Principal Cellist for the “Festival of the Two Worlds” in Spoleto, Italy, the International Chamber Music Festival in Venezuela, and the International Symphony Orchestra in Israel. Igor holds Bachelor and Master of Music degrees from The Juilliard School, where he studied with Harvey Shapiro and Aldo Parisot. He completed his post-graduate studies in the studio of Carter Brey.

Dorota Trnik Studio Dorota Trnik is a curious, life-long learner who loves art, creativity, and big ideas. Having her dream job as a visual arts teacher at the Sterling Hall School in Toronto, she feels passionate about running an innovative and exciting program for her JK-8 students. She is also a big fan of summer camp and is the creator and director of Camp Creativity, which focuses mostly on art and animation.

University of Toronto Faculty of Music The ever-evolving saxophonist, Jennifer Tran, enjoys a musical life as a soloist, chamber musician, and teacher. In March 2018, she was the featured concerto soloist performing with the Brampton Rose Orchestra under the baton of maestro Sabatino Vacca. She is a promising saxophonist that strives to enhance the reception of contemporary classical music and saxophone repertoire in the Brampton community. She performs annually as a featured young artist for the Brampton Chamber Music Concert Series directed by Dr. Koichi Inoue. Jennifer is the soprano saxophonist of Dialectica, an all female quartet who performs and procures original, Canadian music. In fall of 2019, an exciting project will be released by Dialectica with film maker Atom Egoyan. His upcoming film Guest of Honour will feature a piece composed for Dialectica titled The Puppetmaster, by Shannon Graham. As this year's University of Toronto Symphony Orchestra Concerto Competition winner, Jennifer will be performing Florent Schmitt's Légende Op. 66 with the orchestra in the upcoming 2019 - 2020 season of events.

Toronto Symphony Orchestra Toronto Symphony Orchestra Violin Sergei Nikonov joined the TSO in 1999. Born in Kiev, Ukraine, Sergei began his violin studies at the Lysenko School for Gifted Children in Kiev. He earned his Master’s degree from the Gnesin Institute in Moscow, where his principal teacher was Valentin Zuk, Concertmaster of the Moscow Philharmonic Orchestra at the time.After graduating, Sergei won a position with the State Symphony Orchestra of Ukraine. Two years later, he moved on to become a Concertmaster of the Kiev Chamber Orchestra. At the same time, he was actively performing with the Ensemble of Ukrainian Composers, a constantly challenging but fun project, led by some of the country's most prominent artists. With this group, Sergei premiered many contemporary works of national and international composers. And just a few months before his departure to Canada, he became a member of the Kiev Opera and Ballet Theatre. In 1990, an opportunity to move his family to Canada came up. The same year, Sergei joined the Kitchener-Waterloo Symphony as Associate Concertmaster. Three years later, the family moved to Quebec City, where Sergei became a member of the Quebec Symphony. He also was invited to Queensland Symphony in Brisbane, Australia, to perform as a Guest Concertmaster. Among other professional activities, Sergei enjoyed teaching at Laval University and the International Summer Festival “Domaine Forget”, both in Quebec.

Teresa Dunlop Ceramics Teresa loves all aspects of the ceramic process. Teresa has participated in national and international exhibitions and received numerous awards for her work. A teacher for 32 years, Teresa includes a small detail in each piece that reminds her of her past life as an educator. This use of memory brings intimacy to the work that Teresa believes will connect with the user.

Toronto Symphony Orchestra Toronto Symphony Orchestra Violin James Wallenberg joined the TSO in 1978. James began violin at nine years of age studying with his mother! He received his Bachelor of Music in Music Education in 1974 from Ithaca College and his Masters of Music in Violin Performance from the Yale Graduate School of Music in 1976, studying with Broadus Erle and Syoko Aki. Always keeping active in chamber music, James has performed in various concert series, including The Toronto Symphony Orchestra's Evening Overtures, The Associates of the Toronto Symphony Orchestra's 5 Small Concerts, the Toronto Music Gallery and Music Around Us. James has made a CD, AMERICAS, with guitarist Lynne-Harting Ware. James is occasionally in the recording studios for movies, television and commercials. You can see James playing his violin in the movies Camilla, Martin & Lewis, The Judy Garland Story, and he has appeared in cow-tights in the T.V. commercial "Drink Milk, Love Life".

Toronto Symphony Orchestra Toronto Symphony Orchestra Violin Douglas Kwon joined the TSO in 2017. Born in Seoul, South Korea, he has performed as a soloist with the Allen Philharmonic, Conroe Symphony Orchestra, Austin Civic Orchestra, The University of Texas (UT) Symphony Orchestra and the University Orchestra at UT Austin, the San Francisco Conservatory of Music Orchestra, and the University of Calgary Orchestra. As a chamber musician, Douglas has collaborated with Menahem Pressler, Pedja Muzijevic, Kim Kashkashian, and members of the Cleveland, Concord, Ravel, and St. Lawrence string quartets. Douglas won a grand prize and a gold medal at the Young Texas Artist Competition. For the past summers, he has participated in Morningside Music Bridge, Meadowmount School of Music, Tanglewood Music Center, and the Toronto Summer Music Festival.
